Winner of the Creative Child Magazine's Book of the year award!
Robby the taxi has dyslexia, but he doesn’t let that stand in the way of doing a great job driving riders all around the city. Even though he can’t read the street signs, he has a wonderful memory and knows the streets by heart. One day, a regular customer asks him to go somewhere he’s never been… the airport! But Robby has solved problems like this before, and he finds his way to the airport using his unique outlook and creative skills.
This delightful tale was co-written by Lynn Greenberg and her son Jonathan, who also illustrated the book. Jonathan was born with dyslexia, and with the help of Lynn, learned to overcome his learning differences through creativity and art. By sharing Robby the Dyslexic Taxi with your little one, you’ll start them on their journey to learning how to solve their problems as well, whether they have dyslexia, ADHD, autism, or just need a boost in the direction of finding creative solutions for interesting, unexpected, and difficult problems.
Printed in a dyslexia-friendly font, Robby the Dyslexic Taxi and the Airport Adventure is the first book in a fun and engaging series for toddlers, early readers, and primary school students. Children will love the colorful illustrations and the inspiring story of Robby and his taxi friends, each with their own unique abilities. In this adventure, Robby faces a big challenge: he has to deliver Mr. Walters to the airport, but he can’t read the street signs due to his dyslexia. How will he get his passenger to the airport on time? Join Robby and his friends as they creatively overcome their differences, showing that what makes them different is what makes them great!

“…sweet picture book offering children with dyslexia a new way to approach unexpected challenges.” –
“Children with dyslexia can quickly develop a negative self-image when there is so much focus on what they struggle to do. In Robby the Dyslexic Taxi, however, the story revolves around unique skills and abilities instead, reframing disability as a positive difference and allowing dyslexic readers to see themselves in a new light.”

Join the Ride with Robby The Dyslexic Taxi: A Children’s Book Celebrating Differences. Jonathan and Lynn’s commitment to inclusivity and diversity extends beyond Robby’s story. They plan to continue creating stories representing the breadth and depth of the neurodivergent community.
“Printed in a dyslexia-friendly font and beautifully illustrated (by Jonathan) with bright, cheerful drawings, ROBBY THE DYSLEXIC TAXI is a wonderfully engaging demonstration of how a disability can be overcome using creative approaches. Robby may have trouble using mental tools in conventional ways, but he uses his unique strengths to find an unconventional—and even more effective—solution. It’s a terrific lesson for kids with dyslexia, who frequently find themselves stymied by everyday tasks simply because traditional ways of doing things don’t work well for them.
A sweet, gentle adventure that offers valuable insights for readers of any age, Lynn and Jonathan Greenberg’s illustrated ROBBY THE DYSLEXIC TAXI is a terrific way to help children and their parents understand and deal with learning disabilities in an uplifting and empowering way.”
“…children and adults alike would enjoy the story and can and will learn from it. If you know someone who has been diagnosed with Dyslexia, please share this book with them.”

“This book is a sweet short read. Robby the Taxi is surrounded by supportive friends that understand he can succeed at anything if he has support. Because he has been shown support and figured out ways to achieve his goals in the past, he is able to be successful even when he faces an unknown route. My favorite part is that when faced with an unknown route Robby did get scared. That is normal. He didn’t let his fear freeze his though. That is bravery. He trusted that he could figure it out and he did.”
All in all, Robby’s story is a great example of how to stay positive and think outside the box. Click here to read Gift Lit’s full review.
